Anderson, having grown up under a naval commander father, saw much of the United States as her family moved to the various military bases around the country. Her early years were laced with family trips and picnics in national parks. Anderson’s appreciation for art found in nature was fostered by parents who exemplified a love of nature and beauty. Watercolor and colored pencil have been her most practiced mediums but she is currently working in oil painting.
Anderson’s painting was selected by the GAAC’s Manitou Music Poster Committee from a field of 27 entries.
Copies of the 2021 poster will be available on this page starting in the spring of 2021 and at the GAAC office, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.
The Manitou Music concert series, one of the GAAC’s summer highlights, is paused for 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
