Description

Join artist Jessica Kovan for an afternoon honoring Earth Day. This creative and reflective workshop will use art journaling as a tool to process emotions related to the earth and climate change. This workshop will provide a safe space for self-reflection and creative expression, helping participants connect with their emotions and explore ways to cope with climate anxiety.

Instructor

Jessica Kovan was a 2019 Artist-in-Residence at the Glen Arbor Arts Center. She is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists and the International Society of Acrylic Painters. Her overall teaching philosophy is to help students enjoy the process of making art. As an adult educator, she believes art is an individual journey. Creativity should be personal, playful, and insightful. Her goal is to help students both experience the journey and find their own way while remaining open to the learning process.
