Description
Color isn’t just for painters—poets use it to create vivid imagery, powerful metaphors, and new ways of seeing the world. As part of Creative Wellness Month, this workshop invites you to pause amid the complexity of modern life and reconnect with your creativity through poetry.
We’ll read poems that showcase the art of description through color, exploring how attention to color can help us see the world with fresh eyes, process our experiences, and reimagine the familiar. Through focused writing prompts, discussion, and sharing in a supportive environment, we’ll consider how color can inspire new perspectives, spark imagination, and make space for different ways of seeing.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with one or more original poems and practical strategies for bringing greater imagination, emotional depth, and vivid description to your writing. Perfect for poets of all levels seeking inspiration, creative renewal, and a fresh perspective.
Objective: Skill Development, Creativity Enhancement
Outcome: Creation of Artwork, Inspiration and Creativity
