Ford LeBoutillier, Volunteer at Glen Arbor Arts Center

I knew I needed a stronger connection with this community because I had too much unstructured time alone. I’d enjoyed taking classes at the Glen Arbor Arts Center over the years and thought it would be a good place to start. I walked in and asked if they were “hiring,” volunteers that is. I got the job with all the benefits. I started as a front desk volunteer in July. Being accountable for my time, joining a stellar group of people, and giving back by welcoming new visitors to the Arts Center is what I was looking for.
