Writing Table: A Creative Writing Workshop

Dates: July 19, 20 and 21
Time: 1-4 pm
Registration Deadline: July 14
Does writing bring you joy? This workshop will help you create and sharpen your fiction or poetry. We will write each day and hold peer discussions and insights to help make our writing better. Use motivational prompts to create new work or fine-tune existing writing. Closely read select fiction/poetry, and examine what makes each sing. Learn new ways of looking at your creative work and how to make it connect with your readers. Investigate strategies to keep your writing through completion. If the writing participant chooses, the instructor will provide detailed written feedback of up to ten pages of participants’ work.
Vicki Stewart is a Michigan native and lifelong instructor and student of writing. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis on fiction. She is enthusiastic about the inspiration and meaningful writing that evolves from a writing workshop through peer interaction and tutorial prompts. Her writing focuses on strong characters, rural and natural settings, and the joy that blossoms from grit.
