The History of Sculpture in 28-1/2 minutes


Learn the history of sculpture from the 30,000 year old Venus of Wilendorf to today’s Anish Kapoor (the Chicago Bean), with stops along the way to discuss lost wax casting, ancient Egypt and Greece, Michelangelo, Bernini,The Terracotta Army, African masks, Rodin, Duchamp, Jeff Koons and the meaning of it all. Join artist, Hank Feeley, at his Glen Arbor Studio on Lake Street, between Bay Lavender Trading Co and Le Bear Resort.

This free talk is a prelude to his Sculpt the Bear class that he will be teaching July 11-14. Please RSVP below if you would like to attend.
