Talk About Art: Home Again Concert

The Glen Arbor Arts Center’s Summer Singers offer a short program of songs about home and place. This program is open to the public at no charge.
Summer Singers is a community choir open to any person who loves to sing. On August 4, director Mimi Gass will combine words with music to discuss the value and importance of singing; and how community singing enriches and enlivens a place. For more than 17 years the Summer Singers have performed the final Manitou Music concert. That tradition continues on August 13, 7 pm at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church, 4902 W. MacFarlane Road, Glen Arbor.
The Summer Singers’ “Home Again” concert is offer as part of the GAAC exhibition “New Views: Home/Place,” an exploration of home and place identity. It is on display from June 7 – August 8 in the GAAC gallery.
