Reception: Who Owns the Water?

Due to the corona virus, this event has been cancelled.
The Glen Arbor Arts Center’s 2020 student exhibition Who Owns The Water? opens with a reception for the student artists. This themed, juried exhibition runs through May 1, and features work by regional students in grades 9 – 12; and the work of the GAAC’s own After School Art students ages 6 – 12. Three cash prizes will be awarded April 8, 5 pm. The public is welcome to attend.
Collaborating on this exhibition is FLOW [For Love of Water], an advocacy and policy non-profit in Traverse City focused on water rights and issues. https://forloveofwater.org/
As part of the Who Owns The Water? exhibition, the GAAC will host the Fresh Water Poetry Throwdown on April 19. Any high school student can participate by reading an original poem – free verse, conventional verse, slam verse or otherwise — about water.
