Plein Air on the Town

Lombardo Plein Air on the Town

July 10 – 12: In this 3 day class, experience plein air oil or acrylic painting in the beautiful town of Glen Arbor. This workshop will focus on painting architecture in the landscape. Our subject will be the town: street scenes, buildings, cars, and people of Glen Arbor. Each class will begin with a painting demonstration followed by group painting and individual instruction. This workshop will cover getting started, palette arrangement, direct painting techniques, perspective, brushwork, good design, value, and how to succeed when painting the urban landscape. Students will develop control of the medium and confident brushwork. We will paint rain or shine! Each day the weather will present new challenges and learning opportunities. All experience levels are welcome. This course is suitable for beginners thru advanced painters.
