Photographing Fall Colors Like the Pros

Explore the beauty of nature all around us and learn to use the full potential of your camera. We’ll begin with the basics of photography and understanding your camera. Then, we’ll dive deeper to discover the tips and tricks the pros use to maximize impact, create powerful compositions, and take full advantage of light to make dramatic images. And, if you’ve ever been disappointed with your fall color shots, Jim will show you how to bring out all the rich color, texture and beauty of autumn.
The workshop will include lively, interactive discussions featuring many of Jim’s award-winning images with detailed accounts of how they were captured and lots of pro tips. We’ll also go hands-on, spending plenty of time out among the seasonal colors with one-on-one guidance.
Workshop is open to all skill levels and ages 14 and up. Participants should bring their cameras to both sessions. DSLR cameras are preferred as their functions will be discussed in-depth, though much of the information presented will apply to all types of cameras. A polarizing filter is also helpful, but not required.
Detailed course material is provided at no additional charge.
