Pastel and More!
Pastels offer an enormous range of color and texture. Open to all levels, this class will explore the different types of pastels (hard, soft, pencil) and paper surfaces that allow for such variety. In addition, Lesa will demonstrate ways to combine pastel with other mediums, such as watercolor, pencil, and ink.
The day will begin with a demo or short talk. There will be plenty of time to experiment, work with all the materials and get individual attention tailored to your level of experience. If you already have pastels, please bring them. You can also bring photographs to work from. The teacher will set up a couple of still-lifes, and bring examples of various ways to work with pastel and other materials. $20 Supply Fee payable to the instructor. Various pastels, watercolors, pencils and paper will be available.
