Pastel and More II
Pastels offer an enormous range of color and texture. Open to all levels, this class will explore the different types of pastels (hard, soft, pencil) and paper surfaces. Lesa will demonstrate ways to combine pastel with other mediums, such as watercolor, pencil, and ink. Each day will begin with a demo or short talk. There will be time to experiment, work with all the materials, and receive individual attention tailored to your level of experience. If you already have pastels, please bring them, along with photographs to work from. The teacher will create still-lifes and have examples of ways to work with pastel and other materials. If you’ve taken this class before, we will now discover how to make a painting more three dimensional using value and color. There is a $20 supply fee payable to the instructor. Pastels, watercolors, pencils and paper will be available.
