Painting Pollinators

Date: August 13
Time: 10 am-1 pm
Registration Deadline: August 10
Do you want a chance to practice your sketching skills and watercolor whimsy? Join us for this Painting Pollinators workshop. We’ll be drawing hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies during our time together. We’ll work with watercolor and ink, learning how to mix colors, create layers, and add new levels of detail to your paintings. This 3-hour workshop is great for beginners or folks who have been painting for a few years and want to add some structure to their practice.
Hannah Safford studied Drawing and Art Education at Montana State University. Since leaving school, they have been teaching drawing and painting classes at art centers in Michigan. They are avid birdwatchers and use their illustration skills to record the birds as they see them in their sketchbooks. Their work was recently published in the children’s book “Hector: A small painted turtle.” hmsafford.com
