Meet Your Creative Self and Find Your Inner Artist

Discover your inner artist and the magic found in each day as you learn to see like an artist. Elizabeth (Betsy) Abeel, instructor of the popular “Learn to See as an Artist Sees” course, has developed a creativity kit that will engage both seasoned artists and those that have never considered themselves to be creative or artistic. Each participant will receive the kit, learn the philosophy behind its creation, and get hands on instruction on the numerous ways it can be used.  The kit is both a journal and a non-skill based sketchbook.  You will be caught in a timeless place where only the joy of being creative and working with your hands consumes all thought. Come join the fun and change the way you see!  Bring a lunch or snack and your curiosity!

Elizabeth (Betsy) Abeel is an award winning batik artist,  teacher, and creativity workshop leader.  She has been a part of Northern Michigan College’s Extended Education department and guided numerous students to discover the artist within for over 25 years. She and her daughter, Samantha Abeel , author of Reach for the Moon and My Thirteenth Winter, have led creativity workshops throughout the country.
