Lunch with the Post-Impressionists

The Glen Arbor Arts Center (GAAC) celebrates Spring’s return with an art history talk exploring the Post-Impressionists on Thursday, May 11 at the Leelanau School, 1 Old Homestead Road, Glen Arbor. An optional Provençal-themed luncheon at blu restaurant is available. GAAC’s popular art lecturer Linda Young and Randy Chamberlain, chef-owner of the Glen Arbor restaurant blu, will explore the art and lives of the Post-Impressionists. The art history talk will be complemented by a three-course luncheon at blu, 5705 S. Lake St., inspired by the Cézanne and the Provençal Table cookbook, and prepared by Chamberlain. Young’s talk will highlight the life and work of key Post-Impressionist artists including Paul Cézanne, Vincent Van Gogh, Georges Seurat, Paul Gauguin and Henri Rousseau.

Participants choose either the morning or the afternoon lecture.
10:15-11:30 am – Morning lecture at the Leelanau School auditorium, Glen Arbor
12:00 noon – Luncheon at blu, 5705 South Lake St., Glen Arbor
2:15 – 3:30 pm – Afternoon lecture at the Leelanau School auditorium, Glen Arbor

Per person fees:
Lecture & Lunch (GAAC member): $40
Lecture & Lunch (Non-member): $55
Lecture Only (no lunch): $15

Luncheon size is limited to 50. Wine at lunch may be purchased separately. There is no limit on the number who may register for the morning or afternoon lecture only.
