Learning to See and Capture the Moment

2015 Learning to See and Capture the Moment

Sorry, this class has been cancelled due to power outage and continuing storm cleanup.

Learn to shoot with a master landscape photographer. On day 1 Jim will be covering the basic mechanics of digital photography, including aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, filters, the digital darkroom, and RAW workflow. On day 2 you’ll dive deeper into concepts from making average snapshots to making successful, fine art images, including discussion about composition, quality and color of light, creative techniques, and how to see more creatively.

Open to amateurs, enthusiasts, and aspiring pros (ages 14 and up) who would like to go beyond the basics to fully understand your camera and how to use it as a creative tool. Assumption that you own a digital SLR camera and have a basic familiarity with its function. This classroom style workshop is designed to be informal and informative, educational and entertaining for all levels.

Participants are also invited to bring a few of their own digital files to share with the class, along with their camera and owner’s manual if possible.
