How to Begin Writing Your Novel

October 14 – 16: We will begin with the story you want to tell or are in the middle of writing in this 3 day class. Then examine the way you begin your story: is it ordinary?  A copy of so many on the market? Or is it original, new, true to the novel to follow?  Have you developed characters who are an intrinsic part of the story you’ve crafted for them?  Does your plot evolve, and then end satisfactorily?  Good novels are not written in a hurry. They demand your attention and most of all your own fascination and need for perfection—which involves rewriting and rewriting and rewriting until even you would call your work almost perfect. All of this to achieve your dream.  This class is a pathway to that dream whether a beginning writer or one about to publish.
