Exhibit: Power Tools
Opening reception: The GAAC’s current operations are shaped by State of Michigan rules for social distancing and public gatherings. With regret, there will be no opening reception for the Power Tools exhibition in keeping with these guidelines.
Power Tools is a multifaceted, juried exhibition built on the belief that the arts provide us with powerful tools of expression. These power tools offer creative ways to comment, critique, examine and explore all manner of issues, and offer ways to begin negotiating a range of ideas, both new and old, familiar or foreign. The exhibition features the work of 17 artist from Michigan, Wisconsin and Oregon; and showcases a wide range of media including paint, paper, mixed media constructions, collage, fiber and more.
