Virtual Exhibit: Power Tools

Due to the coronavirus, the GAAC gallery is temporarily closed. This exhibition will be viewable on this page.

A multifaceted exhibition built on the belief that the arts provide us with powerful tools of expression: power tools. These power tools – the visual arts, music, performance, literature — offer creative ways to comment, critique, examine and explore all manner of issues – whether easy or difficult, dangerous or safe, contentious or congenial — in the abstract; and offer the viewer an accessible place to begin negotiating a range of ideas, both new and old, familiar or foreign. In the Power Tools exhibition, we’ll explore them all. To paraphrase an old axiom: One picture is worth a thousand words.
