Dune Climb Concert: Igor and the Red Elvises
Due to the corona virus, this concert has been cancelled.
Igor and the Red Elvises bring Siberian surf rock to the annual Manitou Music Dune Climb Concert. This concert is free but a Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore pass is required for entry into the Dune Climb.
Lead Elvis Igor Yuzov grew up in the former Soviet Union, where folk music was the norm and rock ’n roll was illegal. A rebellious streak, however, led him to seek out the forbidden music. In 1995, Yuzov dreamed that Elvis Presley came to him and told him to start playing rock ’n roll and the Red Elvises were born. Evolving over the years, Yuzov’s music contains humorous lyrics and grooves that forces his audience to dance.
Manitou Music is a project of the Glen Arbor Arts Center. For more information, please call 231/334-6112. In the event of rain, this concert will be cancelled. The GAAC will post cancellation information on social media. Check the GAAC’s Facebook page for weather updates.
