Artist-In-Residence Presentation – Gail Griffin
Gail Griffin divides her life into parts: before her husband’s death and after. She talks about the work she’s done on a volume of prose poetry exploring this personal tragedy.
Griffin was married for four months when her husband “fell into the Manistee River and drowned.” Her GAAC residency will be a time when she can pull together a range of written materials – poetry, essays – into book form. At her presentation, Griffin will talk about the mechanics of creating a deeply personal tale intended for publication. Griffin is a professor of English now retired from Kalamazoo College.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
