After School Art – Block 2


After School Art

Have fun with paint and other art materials at the Glen Arbor Arts Center, the little art center nestled in the woods! Enjoy the camaraderie of other young creators. Go home with a finished project. Snack and art supplies provided.

Block #2 will be taught by Margaret Weeks, a seasoned art educator. She holds a Master Degree in Art Education from Winthrop University in South Carolina. She taught elementary art in Charlotte, North Carolina for eleven years. Since returning to Michigan, Margaret has been a member of the visual arts faculty at Interlochen Summer Arts Camp for five seasons, teaching junior campers printmaking, drawing and painting, and global arts. She is also a guest teacher at The Pathfinder School and the Glen Lake Community Schools.

Transportation: Students may ride the school bus to the GAAC (except for January 19). Parents must take a permission form to the elementary office at Glen Lake School. Click here for the permission form.
